In mid-2014 we were engaged by (EMLA) and NHS Healthcare Nottinghamshire to provide their Leadership and Management Development Programme for the Finance Managers across the region. This accredited training opportunity was being made available to the numerous organisations that are supported in the learning requirements by EMLA.
The ten module programme was to provide the delegates with the opportunity to gain an accredited qualification through the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) at either Level 4 Diploma or Level 5 Certificate standard. These two alternatives were delivered and assessed in the same workshops which provides an excellent example of how we can provide multi-level guidance through a single series of training.
The programme develops the delegates under the titles of self, team, business partners and service users. Throughout the ten modules, links are made to the NHS Leadership Model and the delegates are asked to relate their learning back to their individual organisations and their particular competencies, vision, values and mission.
